fafsa, fafsa process, efc, sar, student aid report

The FAFSA process needs to be understood by any student who needs financial aid to pursue their education. The first part of the FAFSA process would include collecting all the important details needed by you for filling the form. Some of the important details are bank statements, driver’s license and Social Security number. Once you have collected this, you can then proceed to the next stage of the FAFSA process. This would basically mean printing a FAFSA on the Web worksheet. You will be able to save time in case you get your FAFSA signed by using a PIN (Personal Identification Number).

Don’t forget to check if you are eligible for a financial aid provided by the government. You would need to check all the parameters which are used to provide aid and whether you can at least be eligible for a single category. Always apply as early as possible for FAFSA so that you are able to qualify for all the deadlines set up by the various schools and states. You can even apply as early as 1st January for any year.

You can also use the “Need Help?” option that is located at the bottom of any FAFSA page in case you are not clear about any particular detail. In case you are not able to complete the firm, you get the option of saving the form and returning to it later on when you want to complete filling the form. Once all the details have been filled in correctly, you can submit your FAFSA form electronically online.

The next part of the FAFSA process would be SAR (Student Aid Report) which is sent to you after The Federal Student Aid has processed your application. This report will also be sent to all the schools which were noted by you on your FAFSA form earlier. The other part of the FAFSA process would include you receiving an official EFC (Expected Family Contribution) on your SAR. It is based on the info given by you on your application. The last part of the FAFSA process would need you to make corrections to your processed FAFSA in case some mistakes have been made by you. These corrections can be made easily by you online. You would need your Pin for making the corrections. Thus this is the total FAFSA process. You also may have meant Fassa, fasta or Fasca or faffa. These are just misspellings of FAFSA
